basket of nova scotian baking by seaside chef leah moon
You'll love this winter package of true bluenose treats -- like an old school bake sale in a box. The fresh-baked goodness includes:
Six (6) juice tin loaves of oatmeal brown bread, perfect with soups, stew or baked beans (I don't know what Leah puts in those tin loaves but it's addictive -- moist and tasty with a hint of molasses. The kind of bread you wouldn't dare toast. You eat it fresh, slathered with butter. ~ Kate)
One dozen (12) Nova Scotian oatcakes, a staple in Leah's house (choose to add chocolate, if you like)
One dozen (12) blueberry muffins made with local blueberries
One dozen (12) homemade maple marshmallows (far beyond the average marshmallow)
Everything freezes well except the marshmallows, and will be baked the day of one-day shipping anywhere in North America.
Leah Moon is a chef who, after a few years in the restaurant industry and ten years of culinary experience in private yachting, has settled at home in Nova Scotia to chase and giggle with her two young girls. She is on the cusp of fun and exciting things at her soon-to-come food blog.
