to Haiti, with love in great gifts, misty croney, sculpture

Misty Croney lives on a Nova Scotian farm with her husband and two boys. "I love the whiskers on the end of my horse's nose and the way my dog's tail never stops wagging," she says. "I love dusk and silouhettes and simple lines. My carvings are silouhettes I can feel with the palm of my hand."

Misty carved this owl perched on a branch, "crooking his head in that curious manner that owls do, catching a better glimpse." Made of Brazilian soapstone, this lovely creature is soft and smooth and wonderful to the touch. He sits approximately 2 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide, and is one of a kind.
